We offer Saturday classes for Babysitter's Training certification and week-long camps during the summer that include CPR/First Aid certifications as well (see below). Designed for 11 to 15 year olds, the Babysitters Training Course can help you interview for a babysitting job, choose safe and age appropriate toys and games, prevent injuries and be prepared if an emergency happens, learn diapering and feeding techniques, handle bedtime issues and more! Babysitters need to bring lunch including drink to class. The cost is $45. Pre-registration is required. What are the top things parents look for when deciding on a babysitter? What are the top tips for a successful babysitting experience? Join us and see! Participants receive Red Cross Babysitter’s Training as well as a complete course in Adult, Infant & Child CPR, and First Aid. What do you do in an emergency? Learn how to recognize and care for life threatening emergencies such as sudden illness, bleeding, poisoning and fractures. Babysitters need to bring lunch, including drink, to class each day except Friday. On Friday of each Babysitter's Camp we have a pizza party and we provide the goodies! The cost is $95. July 7 - 11, 2008 -- Monday-Friday, 9:00 to 3:00 August 4 - 8, 2008 -- Monday-Friday, 9:00 to 3:00 _________________ Class Registration Questions & Answers Can I get a refund after I've registered? Requests for refunds must be received at least three working days prior to the course start date. No refunds will be given without the three day notice. There is a $5 administrative fee for all refunds, and no refunds are given for courses that total $15 or less.
What if enough people don't register for a class? The American Red Cross reserves the right to cancel any scheduled class if minimum enrollment is not met. If you have registered for a class that is cancelled you will be offered the option of a full refund or to be placed in the next scheduled class.
What if I register for a class and due to unforeseen circumstances I am not able to attend? Call the Chapter at (615) 790-5785 or (800) 663-5785 and let us know the class you are registered for and the date you had planned to attend. Your registration can be transferred to the next regularly scheduled class or your registration will be held for up to three months. |
