Want to Be an Instructor for Professional Rescuers? CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer courses are also available. This more advanced level class covers training required for lifeguards, nursing students, and basic training for healthcare providers. To teach this course, American Red Cross uses a different instructor course to teach instructor candidates. Most of the details are the same as the Lay Instructor course requirements. However, candidates must have the CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification to register for the class instead of the separate certifications for the lay-responder. First Aid knowledge is not a requirement for this training. Like the lay responder instructor course above, the cost is also $200.00. The cost does not include the standard CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer course, which must be done before enrolling in the instructor course. Course dates are scheduled by student interest. Please call 615-790-5785 for future dates. |
