One-Hour Workplace Modules

Pack more training into your day!  Workplace training gives you the flexibility to train more people when your Red Cross-certified instructor is on-site.  These one-hour modules are designed to be taught alone or in conjunction with our Workplace CPR/First Aid Courses.   They are awareness-level modules that focus on common causes of worksite injuries and key health risks.

Self-assessments help employees recognize risky habits.  The modules highlight risk and promote prevention.  Demonstrations and lively discussions reinforce practical prevention tips.

Ergonomics

Participants learn to reduce repetitive stress injuries by improving posture, rearranging work areas, using proper tools and doing simple exercises.  Tips for creating a prevention plan help make this a continuing safety effort.

Slips, Trips, & Falls

Topics include the causes of accidents and remedies for common hazards, plus practical advice on shoe selection, ladder safety and injury prevention programs.

Back Injury Prevention

Beginning with back anatomy, participants assess the causes of their personal back pain and learn how posture, stretching and safe lifting skills can reduce the risk of injury.

Managing Stress

Facts on the causes of stress, self-quizzes and discussion help individuals recognize their stressors and develop personal stress-reduction strategies for work and personal lives.

Workplace Violence Awareness

Realistic scenarios help participants recognize impending workplace violence and learn ways to ensure their personal safety and security.

Your Heart Matters

Targeting primary lifestyle risk factors, including smoking, diet and exercise, this module helps people take steps to adopt healthier behaviors and reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.  Add "Act in Time to Heart Attack Signs".  This comprehensive seminar covers heart attack health, prevention of heart disease, how to recognize signs of a heart attack and responding within the first few minutes of a heart attack.
